Flooding – Indonesia:

Flooding following heavy rains on the island of Java has led to displacement and damage. More than 5,000 people have been affected, and more than 1,000 homes damaged. In Pandeglang district, thousands of residents were evacuated as water levels reached 59 inches (150 centimeters) in some areas. According to the Regional Disaster Management Agency, two people have died as of March 1.

Tornados – Iowa: A series of tornadoes hit several counties near Des Moines on March 5, killing seven people and causing injuries. The tornado in Madison County damaged more than 50 homes and was an EF3 with wind speeds of at least 136 mph (218 kph). Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds issued a disaster proclamation for Madison County. Additional tornados include another EF3 tornado that caused damage near Clinton, an EF2 tornado near Leon and an EF1 tornado in Vinton.

Wildfires – Kansas: A wildfire has burned more than 12,000 acres in south-central Kansas, destroying three dozen homes and killing one person. As of March 7, the fire was 70% contained and crews are focused on cutting down burning trees and replacing downed power lines.
